Going bare foot in the mud

Cotton candy on our face
Wishes coming true
Little puppy paws
Kitties when they purr
Polka-dots on Band-Aids
And kisses that will cure
Crayon paintings on the fridge
Our favorite boots and coat
Tea parties in the tree house
An " I love you daddy" note
Neighbors
talking over the fence
A helping hand you lend
Fragrance from a flower
Milk weeds in the wind
Laughter
with our buddies
Critters great and small
Food upon the table
Fellowship with all
The tender touch of others
Faith whispered in our ear
Love that's unconditional
When ever God is near
Music
from the rooftops
City's glittering light
Mercy for the hungry
In dark allies of the night
Fresh veggies in the garden
Waving fields of grain
Peeks of late day sunshine
That follows after rain
Promise in the rainbow
Cloud art in the sky
Wind beneath the wings
Of blue birds as they fly
