It Doesn’t Matter
The blind man lives in darkness,
rejecting all God’s ways,
his ignorance reflected
in the foolish things he says.
It doesn’t matter what I do or if my sinful plans are
flawed.
I will just keep sinning and blame the fruits of sin on God.
Though I ‘m hateful and immoral, committing evil in God’s
sight,
I’ll tell the world I’m unaware of what is wrong and
right.
It doesn’t matter that I have a conscience and free will,
I will just ignore these facts and criticize Him still.
I’ll redefine reality and say that God’s to blame,
Even when I trespass and abuse His Holy name.
It doesn’t matter what I do, there are always fools around,
And they’ll believe it’s not mans’ fault that hate and
greed abound.
I am so glad there is a God to criticize and blame,
If I couldn’t fault Him, I would live with guilt and shame
The blind man lives in darkness,
rejecting all God’s ways,
his character reflected
in the portrait he displays.
God’s child lives not in darkness,
nor speaks the tongue of
fools.
God lives in their heart and soul
and it is He who rules.
It doesn’t matter I encounter hardships in my life,
God instills faith and strength during times of strife.
It doesn’t matter I am weary, or in my weakness, fail,
When I am weak and weary, I see God’s strength prevail.
It doesn’t matter that I’m poor; earthly riches can’t
compare
With what I’ll have in heaven and with God’s angels,
share.
It doesn’t matter if my friends are absent when I grieve,
Jesus is my faithful friend and He will never leave.
It doesn’t matter if storms rage and great destruction
bring,
I will find safe haven under the shadow of God’s wing.
It doesn’t matter that the world rejects the things I say,
God will judge me and the world when He comes back one day.
God’s children pray for wisdom
and through their hardships
learn.
When they are weak and weary,
they to their God will turn.
