Footprints In The Sands of Time

Throughout the day thoughts of God
surface in my mind.
I think of Him as loving,
passionate and kind.
I think of Him as powerful,
all knowing and sublime.
He carved out mighty mountains and
left footprints in the sands of time.

Throughout the day I often think
of things that have gone wrong
and ask my God to make me wise,
loving, kind and strong.
God, who hears and answers prayer,
gives me faith and strength to climb,
scale the highest mountain
and leave footprints in the sands of time.

Our footprints leave an imprint on the path we choose to take.
Our legacy is determined by decisions that we make.
At the end of life's journey, our mark will be defined
by the impression of our footsteps on the trail we left behind.
