Hi guys!
September 30th, 1993 was
the most important day in my life! It was the day
I accepted Jesus into my heart and started living for Him. My family was
attending
a small church where my Mom was the choir director, so I started singing in the
choir.
God gave me a talent for singing. My mom also played the piano, which I
picked up,
playing by ear only. On my 17th birthday, my parents gave me a Yamaha
acoustic
guitar. I haven't put it down since. God has blessed me in that I
don't read music
at all and have never had any guitar or vocal lessons. I started playing
by ear, just
picking out tunes from the band that has inspired me the most, The Newsboys.
For a while, I just played
guitar and sang cover songs for fun. Until one night when
I was hanging out with my friend from church, Josh. Josh had a poem he had
written,
and I had some music I had composed, and we put them together. Since then,
we have
been working together with Tommy, writing and composing our own
music.
I had met Tommy when we
played together in a secular band. We soon realized that
what we were doing was not what God had planned for our lives, so we went off on
our
own to form a Christian Band........SONkissed. So, I took a step of faith,
and moved
from my hometown and family to Owensboro, Kentucky to work full time on our
band.
We are currently looking for a bass guitarist and drummer. We
kicked around
a few names for the band, until one night Tommy had a vision in a dream.......SONkissed.
We have been kissed by the love of Jesus Christ! We have over 60 songs that
we have
written by the wonderful grace of God! We love singing for the glory of
our Savior,
