When I was new to the internet the "code" people used in email and on message boards confused me. Some was explained to me and the rest I finally figured out.

AFAIK = as far as I know

ASAP = as soon as possible

BTDT = been there done that

DH, DW, DD, DS, DKS = dear husband,dear wife,dear daughter,dear son, dear kids. On the web everyone is aways dear.
DS can also be Dear Sister

DB = Dear Brother or Dear Boyfriend

DF = Dear Friend or Dear Fiancee

BK = before kids

DMIL, DFIL = dear mother-in-law, dear father-in-law

FAQs = frequently asked questions

FYI = for your information

FWIW = for what it's worth

HTH = hope this helps

IMHO = in my humble (or honest) opinion

ISO = in search of

JMTC = just my two cents or sometimes just my two cents worth

KWIM = know what I mean

LO = leftover

LOL = laughing out loud or lots of laughs

OT = off topic

OOP = out of print

PLMK = please let me know

ROFL = rolling on the floor laughing

SAHM = stay at home mom

TNT = tried and true

TTFN = ta ta for now

TTSP = this too shall pass

TTYL = talk to you later

WTG = way to go

YMMV = your mileage may vary

YSIC,YBIC = your sister in Christ, your brother in Christ

YOG, YOB = year old girl, year old boy

IRL = In Real Life

Other terms you'll run into

SPAM = unsolicited mail (junk mail)
FLAME = an angry message directed to or at someone
VENT = a message letting off steam
G = grin
BWG = big wide grin
