"God will judge us for everything we do, including every secret thing, whether good or bad." (Ecclesiastes 12:14 NLT)
Chasing the Wind

When I think of what should be
There is a deep sense of sympathy.
A sorrow of things that are now gone
The hearts of men seem to be of stone.
When there are no courteous thoughts,
And the simple things are not taught.
No one thinks of those beyond the group
This throws me for a loop.
I cannot understand why there is no concern,
And the hearts of men do not yearn.
How can they seek to do another harm,
And never feel the warning alarm?
Love seems to be a lost art today
With few words of kindness to say.
Why does man choose to withdraw alone
From a close relationship with God on the throne?
Never seeking to give of themselves
Not thinking of how others felt.
Standing off from the needs of friends
Empty and lonely chasing the wind!
