Who Is My God?

He is the Creator of all that shall be

He is greater than anything I can see.

He brings the rain from His store,

And sweeps the waves across the shore.

He gives light where man is blind

Even gave sight to these eyes of mine.

He binds the broken spirit once more

Yes, He alone can heal and restore.

He gives me pain to show me the way

To forgive and learn how to obey.

He is above all the Universe on His throne

Yet He reaches to my heart to atone.

His strength cannot be measured by man

It is only by His power that we can stand.

He gives joy in the midst of a broken heart,

And shows you how to make a new start.

Teaches me that I am but grass,

And that this world cannot last.

Father of every single being on earth

Gives to His chosen a brand new birth.

He is holy and pure as I have come to know

Yet I can speak with Him and grow.

He is everything to me in my distress

Because it is only Him that can bless.

This God of mine is the One I hold dear.

Truth is in His heart unyielding at any time

He never changes to suit this will of mine.

He paints with the Master’s hand

Colors on a canvas of His plan.

I am just a mortal with limited speech

But nothing is beyond my Father’s reach!
