The Vinyard & The Kingdom There is a beautiful place ~ Trimed with jewels and lace. The King left His vinyard one day To go to His Kingdom to stay. The King put a keeper in charge ~ Of the vinyard at large. The King owned these great fields, And deserved part of the yield. He sent His Son to the vinyard one day ~ After many servants had been beaten and cast away. The evil vinyard keeper wanted to kill the heir So the vinyard would be left his own there. The King had left the vinyard in the keepers care, And the King's Son was not welcome there. His Son had come to collect at harvest time, But they wouldn't give Him a dime. They ploted to take His life, And He became the keepers sacrifice. The Son was the rejected stone ~ That paid with His life their sins to atone. The King's children will recieve a prize ~ For which His Son gave His life. The stone will crush the evil ones ~ The Kingdom will be given to the King's Son!
