Three Eggs
Arranged in the nest
Three eggs catch my
interest.
Little specks on each one ~
As they lay in the sun.
The bird had made their bed
With twigs from by the shed.
I could see her on the wing
With each tiny thing.
She carefully gathered each one
Until her work was done.
Perched in the branches of the tree
Where very few could see.
She lay the eggs day by day ~
Her family was on the way.
Time will tell what will be ~
Carefully she guards all three.
It reminds me of each child,
And then I begin to smile.
At the wonder of each birth ~
Because there is none without worth.
Watch the tiny eggs as they show
One day the chicks will grow.
God does not let one go from His sight
He watches His children day and night!
