Temptation

The sight, taste, and touch ~

Will get you in a lot of "Dutch."

A new car looks real good,

But there is no motor under the hood.

The salesman says it runs fast,

But the thing has no gas.

He says you can really go places,

But you don't want to be in the races.

He says you'll get used to the color ~

In time it will get duller.

Now that dame standing there ~

With the long blonde hair.

You would take one of those too,

But your wife won't let you.

She goes so well with the car ~

She looks like a movie star.

That dress is melted on her ~

She would cause quite a stir.

You know better don't you ~

Cars don't come that way new?

The seats in that car are so soft,

but they cause you to cough.

The velvet is just so smooth,

But you need  to buy some   shoes.

They promised you a meal ~

If you go for the deal.

The whole thing sounds great,

But please stop and wait.

Can't you see the flaws ~

In that salesman's jaws?

I know that you want the thing,

But with it is a lot of strings.

In 30 days the payment is due ~

Then what will you do?

If the thing does not go ~

I think that will be too slow.

Consider for a moment the transaction ~

It will never bring you satisfaction.

I know the salesman has you fooled ~

Honestly didn't you go to school?

They simply don't give women with cars ~

Even if they do look like movie stars.

The thing  will never run as it should ~

With no motor under the hood.

This salesman is so cool ~

He will turn you into a fool.

The situation  ~

Temptation!
