Snowman When the winter is in full swing ~ The snowman is the thing. Down south children seldom see ~ What makes a snowman come to be. Everyone wants to see the snow ~ As the cold winds blow. It is especially nice to come in, And have hot chocolate with a friend. The children laugh and play until late ~ Looking at the achievement they formulate. The snowman wears his hat too Just like me and you. It is cold out there in that night air, But the children don't seem to care. Snow packed around in a ball ~ Then add another two that's all. The snowman needs eyes to see ~ Where he is going to be. He has a little hat on his head, And the children call him Fred. They throw snowballs at each other ~ Because they are sisters and brothers. Tomorrow the sun will return, And the snowman will have to run! Poem written by: Lena Ayer Kittrell Background design by: Lena Ayer Kittrell
