The Secret Garden

The garden has a pathway,

The lady that owns the garden is Amelia Hathaway.

It's as mysterious as can be,

It is beautiful, but it's beauty no one can see.

There is a secret door, and there is a secret key;

It is kept safe from those that might see.

Mrs. Amelia is the only one that enters,

To see the beautiful flowers and trees.

Amelia came to the garden almost every day,

At least that's what many people say.

I wish that everyone could see,

This beautiful garden with the flowers and trees.

She always wears her long black dress,

It is a mystery but she can still impress.

You can always see this lady at the gate,

It makes you wonder, "What's her fate?"

Deep in the garden she walks,

And with no one does she talk.

She always visits the grave,

Of her beloved husband Dave.

She never told a single soul,

The sights that she could behold,

She hardly missed a day,

When she went into the garden to pray.

She never let anyone know,

She missed her beloved husband so.

Nobody knew where she kept the key,

Until they found her lost diary,

Then it was plain to see,

That Amelia was as lonely as could be.

The dairy was written long, long ago,

By the man that she loved so.

The key was firmly placed,

Behind a picture of Dave's face.

Now Amelia has gone to her grave,

And they buried her right beside her beloved Dave.

Today the secret garden's glory,

Is revealed in Dave and Amelia's story!
