The Scarlet Thread
From the beginning God had a line,
A Scarlet Thread that endured all time.
Each time God would give a promised child,
And when I think about it, I begin to smile.
He had such a perfect plan for man,
Of course they never did quite understand.
Abraham a man of faith began the line,
But God foretold to Eve the seed would come in time.
Little babies born to carry the Thread along,
Until one night in Bethlehem the angels sang their song.
Then the promised seed was born to Virgin Mary that night,
He had come to become for lost man the Light.
When He grew, He was a perfect man and He alone,
They hated Him because they didnt know He would atone.
They put Him on the Cross to bleed and die,
The Scarlet Thread came to bring the seed it is no lie.
The Scarlet blood flowed from His head, side, and feet,
Forever it shall cover the sin, and be sins defeat.
O the Scarlet Thread woven all through the plan,
God had forever loved and cared for mortal man!
