A Night in Paris

With my face pressed on the windowpane

I could see Andrea running in the rain.

I had waited eagerly to see him today

At the door we hardly knew what to say.

So we fell into each other's arms

Admiring each other's many charms.

His lips touched mine once again

As I thought of a lovely refrain,

"Let me be yours only my dear

Hold me tight so I will not fear."

We looked into each other's eyes

As I could now begin to cry.

I was not sad on this day

I was so happy here to stay.

We rode the horse drawn carriage

While we thought of our marriage.

The moon was shining in full force now

As we came to the edge of town somehow.

When we walked over the bridge out there

It was so lovely out in the night air.

He drew me closer to his chest

In his arms I was so at rest.

The moisture of his lips touched my cheek,

And my knees felt so weak.

We stayed there in the dark alone

Until I didn't want to go home.

But tomorrow was our wedding day

Then we would repeat the words to say,

"I love you for all of my life its true."

So tonight why do I feel so blue?

Hold me and never let me go.

Then the carriage began to move real slowly.

The lamppost passed us by on our way,

But tomorrow will be our wedding day!
