My Love and Me
We discovered we were so in love
When we were children in the grove.
We carved our names in a heart
With an arrow in the upper part.
We were foolish little kids,
But we put right thinking under our lids.
It was a much simpler time back then
With kisses blown by the summer wind.
And we played "chase" as our game
We even called each other by nicknames.
He was such a gentleman to me
I am still grateful don't you see?
Our love has only grown today,
And our home is not for play!
