Gods Mercy Gail Baxley2

God’s Mercy

I felt the tears roll down my face

Sin had bought me such disgrace.

I wept with bitter tears that day

Seeking God as I began to pray.

O’Lord I am a sinner in need

Before You I bow and plead.

I am a dirty, rotten, filthy, rag

I am unworthy, and I can not brag.

Sin has been a burden on my soul

I was in Satan’s mighty hold.

I was dead blind and in decay,

But, when I bowed my head to pray.

Your Spirit touched my very soul

Awakening and making me whole.

I was made new by your grace

Because on Calvary You took my place.

It was nothing that I had done

It is by Your mercy I can overcome!
