Messiah

The promised One has come

He is known as God's Son.

No greater will ever be

Than God in the Trinity.

To fulfill His written Word;

God sent His Son from above.

He came as a Babe to earth

Mary gave to Him birth.

The Holy Spirit overshadowed her,

And the miracle did occur.

Mary was a virgin girl;

Not a woman of the world.

From the line of David was she,

And the Kingdom passed for eternity.

To the Child bone in that stable bed;

With no crown to put on His head.

The name was given to the Babe;

"Jesus" was what the angel said.

Born in Bethlehem town;

With animals all around.

The King of kings mild;

Came as a little Child.

He grew to be a Man,

But His people could not understand.

Mary held it all in her heart;

She knew the Savior from the start.

Jesus healed the sick and lame,

But His people cursed His name.

He fed the multitude,

And was treated rude.

There were plots to take His life,

Because He was the chosen Christ.

There was no fault in this man,

But they put nails in His hands.

Three days later He came out of the grave;

Victory over death my soul to save.

Nothing could keep Him here;

In the clouds He left in the air.

Back to the throne

That was His very own.

Messiah!
