Jews have been persecuted many times

Is the fault of this really mine?

Abraham was a man who walked by faith

This was what saved him not the law's weight.

The prophets told of the Jewish Messiah,

And they were by God inspired.

Each man that walked in this way

Was pointed to look forward to that day.

They trusted in the law to save their soul,

But there was a story yet to be told.

They failed to meet the strict tests,

But God had prepared a Messiah to bless.

The time had come for this One

He was born a common man but

He was God’s Son.

In the family of Jewish blood He grew

Until He became a man unwelcome by the Jew.

His message did not fit their customary way

They did not believe what the Messiah had to say.

The Son of God the only way; and He was right

But His own people tried to kill the Light.

He was their Messiah come to fulfill God’s plan

But He was not welcome in His own land.

Then as it turns out He was crucified

Yes, He hung on the cross and died.

Jew yes, He was the hope that would save,

But it would not be true until His life He gave.

Who is the guilty one in this case?

Jew & Gentile the Messiah took our place!
