Island Paradise

The palm trees sway in the summer breeze,

The crab crawls up on the shore from the seas.

There is an orange sunset in the distant west,

And I feel that by its beauty I am blessed.

Little do we think of problems here at last,

And the time seems has passed so very fast.

Let me just watch the waves crash on the shore,

And hold in my arms the one that I have long adored.

Tomorrow as the butterfly lights on the rose,

May it remind me of how our yearning love grows.

As the wind sweeps over the duns on the beach,

Your words cause me to stand still with no speech.

The boat sails across the blue sea,

To take us where you first met me.

Nestled in the seaweed stands the old frame,

Where you asked to know all about my name.

The lilies still caress the old house,

Honey today I am proud to say, I am your spouse!
