Influence

Each person has a certain amount,

And it is held to his or her account.

It's like the kingdom of heaven

Is compared by Jesus to leaven.

A woman makes bread this way

She puts leaven in the bowl to stay.

You can see it increase in size

The influence is no surprise.

You will listen to what a friend has to say

Influence of another works this way.

It is plain to see that attitude

Is best when you have gratitude.

The ocean waves wash to shore,

And returns out to sea once more.

Powerful is the rushing of the sea

Its influence is known by the tree.

Love can change the coldest heart

With its influence to impart.

So like leaven will make bread rise

Good influence will make men wise!
