The Gospel

 (in a nutshell)

It is written for all to see

What God wants for you and me.

We are born into a world of sin

So God's desire is our soul to win.

He gave His only Son

So our soul could be won.

The message is very clear

Repent in trembling and fear.

He sent His Son to earth

To have a lowly birth.

He came as a man

To teach us to understand.

That we are sinners in need,

And for this He would bleed.

He was rejected by His own

As someone they had never known.

They denied that He was God,

And beat Him with a rod.

They hung Him on the tree

Where He died for even me.

They put Him in a borrowed grave

The Savior that came to save.

The grave could not hold Him down

He rose up from that cold ground.

He ascended above to His throne

He will carry His children back home.

The gospel story goes out to you
