The Event They practice many times To get all of the lines. The song is sung over again Until it comes to an end. It takes many grueling hours Working without any flowers. Just to get the sound just right They practice day and night. Man just tries so hard to perform Even in the early morn. Getting the sound set to key, And they hope perfection can be. It seems that one-hour of song Makes you work so long. Man keeps trying to get it right However error is just so slight. Can you imagine God's perfection When He brought forth all creation? Eternity has no end God from beginning with no end. He is not an actor on the stage With some script on every page. He is not acting out a part It is really all from His heart. God never gets tired or sleepy His promises He is keeping. Can you just imagine never preparing For all of this He is so sharing? He never has to try to be right He is perfect day and night. When you have a play to do Remember God never acts like you! Poem written by: Lena Ayer Kittrell This poem has been written a the result of practicing for a Christmas Cantata.
