Rush to Defend the Truth Some speak from desire, And set the world on fire. With words that tell a lie ~ They make others cry. They cut across the grain, And cause a lot of pain. All to defend their territory, And protect their glory. It doesn't seem to matter ~ About the awful splatter. As long as they win ~ They will tell it again. But the man with the facts ~ Is suddenly attacked. He can speak the truth any time, But they say he is out of his mind. Simply because he is so perfectly right ~ They will put up a great big fight. His honest words brings disdain ~ From those who would lie again. He holds the banner of righteousness in his hand, But the enemies have bombs in their plans. This all reminds me of Christ, And His great sacrifice. He too spoke the truth so clear, But they killed him without fear. It is true if you try to defend the right way ~ Evil's weapons will crush and slay. Prepare yourself for the battle is here ~ Defend the truth without fear. God is on the side of right ~ So of that fact never lose sight!
