The Cross On that hill far away upon the cross that day. Jesus gave His all To save us from the fall. They took His robe away His blood flowed that day. They beat His body down As He fell to the ground. They spit upon His face In that awful place. Dark were the clouds As they shouted out loud. The crowd was in a rage This was not an act on stage. The Roman soldiers nailed His hands and His feet like a criminal man. He did it for you and me To save us from the enemy. Precious Lamb of God was He Sacrificed for you and me. Willingly He went to the cross He paid sins dreadful cost. He had no sin of His own It was for us He did atone. When you think of Him up there Hanging on the cross in the air Remember it was for our sin He died but He lives again!
