Chasing the Wind A pretty diamond ring, And so many splendid things. Yes, mansions we build, And seeking after thrills. Winding down the path That can not last. Then you are crushed Because life is rushed. Pain fills your day Then you begin to pray. The Lord answers again, But you return to sin. The things of pleasure, And worldly treasures. You lose your grip, And the world does a flip. When your time is out To the Lord you shout. Once again He comes He is the only One. The sun shines on you, But on earth you are glued. Back to the old habits again To all your wickedness and sin. Now you have done it all With your back against the wall. O' Lord we are undone within ~ Just chasing the wind!
