Aloha!
'Twas our second St. Patty's Day in "Paradise" when I created
this page.... The islands are into the wearin' of the green
year 'round, what with the temperatures bein' 'twixt the 60's
and 80's.

Although neither Irish nor Catholic, when I was
growing up in Florida my family was a little wierd about the
holiday. You've heard of the Dr. Seuss book "Green Eggs &
Ham"?? Well, St. Patty's Day always meant my Mom would be up
to shenanigans with the green food coloring *_* She always
made holidays special. Now, the other kids at school may have
made remarks when we told them we had green grits or green
pancakes for breakfast, but what FUN we had!!!

NOTE:
See any FOUR-leaf clovers around here?
No?
There's a reason *_*
I do not believe in "Luck". I do pray for God's blessing though!
I do not pray to "Saints". I pray to God the Father in His only
begotten Son Jesus' name, as Jesus taught His disciples to do
in Matthew 6:9-13. We celebrate this day (and Saint
Valentine's Day), with a Bible-believing Christian
perspective...as an opportunity to praise the LORD, share His
love with those around us, and be a blessing to our loved ones.

THE STORY OF SAINT PATRICK
Saint Patrick was a man of God
who came to Erin’s land
With God’s own love within his heart,
a shamrock in his hand.
He used the three-leafed shamrock
to help the people see
How there could be three persons
in the Holy Trinity.
The God the Irish learned of
today can still be found—
A Truth that’s far more beautiful
than creation all around!

I would challenge you to make it a fun day for folks
around you. Do special -- yes, even "silly" *_* -- things for
others *_* Enjoy a Shamrock shake at McDonalds. Make shamrock-shaped
cookies *_* But ENJOY the day, and make it special for your
friends and family!

And may I bestow upon you an old Gaelic Blessing, shared with us
from a fine Irish family by the name of O'Brien *_*
May those who love us, love us;
And those who don't love us,
May God turn their hearts....
And if He doesn't turn their hearts,
May He turn their ankles
So we may know them by their limps.
A Fine St. Patrick's Day to all o' Ye!
With Love & Blessin's
From 4 Seests in Paradise!

God in Three Persons...
The whole theme of the three-leaf clover is pointing to the Triune God, the LORD JEHOVAH--God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit. Most religions
have no qualms about God the Father, nor about God's Spirit, the Holy Ghost. Where they err...and are eternally wrong...is that they do not recognize Jesus Christ
as the Son of God AND God in human form...God incarnate.
So, two ladies came to my door. They claimed to want to hold a Bible study in our neighborhood. They claimed to believe the King James Version of the Bible
even! Sounds great! But when I asked the question, "Who is Jesus?", as He asked His disciples long ago, I found out that they were NOT what they claimed.
John 1:1-3 reads, "In the beginning was the Word, and the Word
was with God, and the Word was God. The same was in the
beginning with God. All things were made by him; and without
him was not any thing made that was made."
Their bible--little "b"--has verse one say, "and the Word was a god."
Ummm...big difference, that "a" and little "g" make.
So, what does the Holy Bible start off with? "In the beginning GOD created the heaven and the earth."
But didn't we just read in John chapter one that Jesus--the Word--was in the beginning? Was GOD? Was the Creator--"all things were made by Him"?
There are other verses that tell me, and anyone who will seek
the Truth, that Jesus Christ is the Creator, is eternal, is worthy of worship,...thus
proving Him God incarnate.
Genesis 1:26 & 27, “And God said, Let us make man
in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion
over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and
over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the
earth.
So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them."
Psalm 96:4 & 5, “For the LORD is great, and greatly to be praised: he is to be feared above all gods. For all the gods of the nations are idols: but the LORD made
the heavens.”
Isaiah 9:6, “For unto us a
child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall
be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful,
Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The
Prince of Peace.” [Whose name is called “The mighty God, The everlasting Father...”? The Child whose birth is foretold in the book of Isaiah and hundreds of
other times and places in the books of the Old Testament: Jesus Christ!]
Isaiah 40:28, “Hast thou not known? hast thou not heard, that the everlasting God, the LORD, the
Creator of the ends of the earth, fainteth not, neither is weary? there is no searching of his understanding.”
Isaiah 45:18, “For thus saith the LORD that created the heavens; God himself that formed the earth and made
it; he hath established it, he created it not in vain, he formed it to be inhabited: I am the LORD; and there is none else.”
Matthew 1:23, “Behold, a
virgin shall be with child, and shall bring forth a son, and
they shall call his name Emmanuel, which being
interpreted is, God with us.”
Matthew 4:7 & 10, “Jesus
said unto him (Satan), It is written again, Thou shalt not
tempt the Lord thy God.” [And Whom was Satan tempting here?]
“Then saith Jesus unto him, Get thee hence, Satan: for it is
written, Thou shalt worship the Lord thy God, and him only
shalt thou serve.”
Luke 4:8 & 12, “And Jesus
answered and said unto him, Get thee behind me,
Satan: for it is written, Thou shalt worship the Lord thy
God, and him only shalt thou serve.”
“And Jesus answering said unto him, It is said, Thou shalt not
tempt the Lord thy God.” [Again we must ask ourselves, Whom was
Satan tempting here?]
John 1:1-3, "In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.
The same was in the beginning with God.
All things were made by him; and without
him was not any thing made that was made."
John 8:58, “Jesus said unto
them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Before Abraham was, I am.”
John 17:5, “And now, O Father,
glorify thou me with thine own self with the glory which I had with thee before the world was.”
Philippians 2:5-11, "Let
this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus:
Who, being in the form of God, thought
it not robbery to be equal with God:
But made himself of no reputation, and
took upon him the form of a servant, and was made in
the likeness of men:
And being found in fashion as a man,
he humbled himself, and became obedient unto death, even
the death of the cross.
 Wherefore God also hath highly
exalted him, and given him a name which is above every name:
That at the name of Jesus every knee should
bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under
the earth;
 And that every tongue should
confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the
Father.
Colossians 1:12-17, “Giving
thanks unto the Father, which hath made us meet to be partakers
of the inheritance of the saints in light:
Who hath delivered us from the power of
darkness, and hath translated us into the kingdom of his
dear Son:
In whom we have redemption through his blood,
even the forgiveness of sins:
Who is the image of the invisible God,
the firstborn of every creature:
For by him were all things created, that
are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible,
whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or
powers: all things were created by him, and for
him:
And he is before all things, and by him all things consist.”
Hebrews 1:1, 2, & 6, “God,
who at sundry times and in divers manners spake in time past
unto the fathers by the prophets,
Hath in these last days spoken unto us by his Son, whom
he hath appointed heir of all things, by whom also he made
the worlds;
And again, when he bringeth in the
firstbegotten into the world, he saith, And let all the angels
of God worship him.”
I John 5:7, “For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy
Ghost: and these three are one.”
Revelation 4:10 & 11, “The
four and twenty elders fall down before him that sat on the
throne, and worship him that liveth for ever and ever,
and cast their crowns before the throne, saying,
 Thou art
worthy, O Lord, to receive glory and honour and power:
for thou hast created all things, and for thy pleasure
they are and were created.”
I thank God for His Word...both written and living Word!
I thank Him for being Emmanuel, "God with us"! Praise Him every day, even on
this day when the religious world is thinking of shamrocks--simple little three-leaf clovers!
Remember what Patrick believed...
He used the three-leafed shamrock
to help all the people see
How there could be three persons
in the Holy Trinity.
Use the association to share the blessed Gospel story with someone TODAY.

Patrick was a just a shepherd boy
When to this land he came
To care for sheep and teach the folk
The Gospel to proclaim.
Holding up the little shamrock
He told of God's great love
And explained to them the triune God
Who lived in Heaven above.
He told them that God sent His Son
Who was born in Bethlehem
And lived a sinless life down here
But was put to death by men.
But God raised Jesus from the tomb
To sit upon His throne
And all who put their trust in Him
Have Heaven as their Home.
Upon the 17th of March
Men should their homage give
To Patrick who to Slemish came
And taught them how to live.
