Home Ownership and Budgeting
- This program provide classes which met twice a month in the Norristown Library.
We have served 165 new and 75 old clients. In addition, during July we hosted
a very successful Housing Fair.
Back to School - Stay in
School - This program was an overwhelming success. Our goal was
to serve 400 children and we served 400 + youths with school supplies. We
supplied these children with backpacks, paper, notebooks, pens and pencils.
Summer Enrichment (Day Camp) - This
program ran during July and August for six (6) weeks from 8:00 a.m. -2:00
p.m. The program offered children the opportunity to do crafts, learn scripture
and play in a safe, Christian environment. The Archdiocese again supplied
the food for 2 meals per day. There were 40 children registered and 20-25
were served breakfast and lunch daily.
Summer Enrichment (Earn as You Learn)
- This program had three, eight (8) week sessions, running five (5) days a
week. Out of the session, fifteen 15 At-Risk Youth showed a way off of the
streets and were placed on jobs with skills.
The Emergency Service - Through
the Emergency Food Pantry and the Share Food Program, we served
140 families. For Thanksgiving we were able able to supply over 25 families
with a complete Turkey dinner.
Fall Enrichment (Agape's After School
Hour) This program has over 20 youth enrolled. Tutoring
and homework help is offered. Report cards show that children who attend the
Fall Enrichment have had a significant improvement in grades.
Fall Enrichment (Community Christmas Party)
- This program provided 75 families
with fun, food, readings, games, prizes and more. Over 115 youth attended
and received (2) two gifts. Parents and children expressed their thanks with
cards of appreciation.
